Most remodeling companies specialize in certain aspects of home improvement, but Impact Landscape & Home Remodeling does it all—because they believe your indoor and outdoor spaces should be seamless.

“We take care of everything related to your home,” says Joe Chiera, who, along with his wife, Kristen, owns this local business. “Whether you want to remodel your kitchen, finish your basement, transform your bathroom, add an expansive patio, or spruce up your landscaping, we can do it all.”

“We make your home beautiful—inside and out,” adds Kristen, who was a critical care nurse before getting involved in the family business. Her caring demeanor now translates to the exceptional customer service she provides and design inspiration she gives homeowners.

What started as a landscaping business in 1998 has catapulted into a home remodeling company encompassing both interiors and exteriors.

“I started my business by push-mowing lawns,” says Joe. “While a senior at Walsh Jesuit High School, I mowed lawns while balancing time between schoolwork and playing baseball.”

With a strong work ethic and keen business acumen, his company has morphed two decades later into a full-service home remodeling and landscaping company with a staff of nearly 50.

Even though the company has grown in size, Joe and Kristen do each remodeling job estimates personally. It is all about building relationships, as they have many repeat customers who put their trust in them.

The photos pictured here of a new Copley home, which the company built from the ground up, was for repeat customers. These homeowners used Impact for landscaping and a couple home remodeling projects for their previous home, so when they bought land and decided to build a new home, they turned to Impact again.

“The design of the home is contemporary mixed with craftsman style, using lots of wood tones to create warmth,” says Joe. “The carpenters meticulously crafted the kitchen ceiling beams from pine to look like hand-hewn beams that mimic the shape of the windows.”

The master bathroom features a curbless wet room, where the tub and shower are designed so the entire area can get wet.

“This is a popular feature we incorporate in many of our master bathroom remodels,” notes Joe. “Though this home’s bathroom is quite large, we only need about 60 square feet to add a wet room to any bathroom remodel. With a curbless shower and no walls, the space feels bigger than it really is.”

Natural elements including stone, marble and wood are mixed together to give the room a spa feel.

In addition to kitchen and bathroom remodels, Impact also is well versed in custom walk-in pantries, laundry rooms, finished basements and room additions.

“Winter is the time to turn your focus indoors and refresh your space since you will be spending more time in your home,” says Joe. “Let us make an impact in your home.”
